Pephop AI User Interface
The interface is unique with fewer elements.
The main page only displays all the tags, and if you start a chat, the character cards of people you’ve previously chatted with will also appear at the top of the page.
This is what happens when your mouse hovers over “All tags/Categories.” You can also choose from larger categories like “Popular” and “Dream Girl” in the tag navigation bar.
Within all the tags, you can navigate to any specific subcategory or preference. For example, in the Historical category, you can still search within this category and arrange characters by “latest” or “most popular.”

Diverse Characters and Innovative Settings
There are tens of thousands of characters, including 3,499 anime characters and 201 dream girls.
There are also many similar characters, which makes AI role-playing on Pephop more appealing and interesting. The basis in films and games also expands their potential.
Pephop AI Memory Summarization
Currently, AI chat relies on storing tokens to remember the messages exchanged between you. Tokens are limited, which means that after a certain number of messages, the AI will forget your past interactions.
In Pephop, this issue is somewhat mitigated; you can create a summary of your chats, which will be stored in the AI’s long-term memory. Even if the token limit is exceeded and the AI forgets specific conversations, the character will remember the important information you emphasized in the summary.
As shown in the image, if you use OpenAI’s API (which will be introduced later), you can automatically generate a summary for reference. This interface can be accessed by clicking the icon in the upper right corner of the chat window and selecting “chat memory.”
Adjust Model and Parameters
click on “API Settings” in “Advanced Settings.”
Users can choose from three models: Pephop AI, Open AI, and Kobold AI.
If you haven’t purchased Open AI and are not familiar with Kobold AI, you can start by trying the improved Pephop model.
If you choose Open AI, you can customize and edit the jailbreak prompt to guide the chat in your desired direction, such as adult content, crime, or adding emoticons in the conversation.

Kobold AI excels in creative writing and game design, so it relies heavily on the quality of your input. Therefore, try to ensure your instructions are clear.
AI chatting Generation Settings
In AI chat, there are some basic settings you must understand how to use flexibly.
As shown in the image, the difference between OpenAI and Kobold AI in the preset settings is that the former has a higher temperature, no limit on maximum tokens, and more context.
A higher temperature results in more creative responses from the character. One word typically requires about 3-4 tokens. The maximum tokens refer to the limit on the number of words in each AI response; if it’s set to 0, there is no limit.
The more context you provide, the more the AI can remember, but it will reduce the generation speed. You can adjust these parameters and freely experiment with chatting.

Unfortunately, the phone feature of Pephop requires a subscription to use, and character messages cannot be converted into voice form yet.
